What a Doctor Has to Say About Rehabbing and Exercising with Kettlebells

Nearly a year ago, I wrote an article that discussed rehabbing injuries with kettlebell exercises. It was a topic that fascinated me at the time and one that I still find very intriguing. Apparently, I'm not the only person as it's one of the more popular posts on this site. The research I did for the article concluded that not only can kettlebells help with injuries but pain management as well. This information wasn't opinion-based or speculative but actually came from studies by doctors and physical therapists.

MMA Kettlebell Workout Uses Just 3 Variations of the Swing

When I saw that popular fitness coach Funk Roberts posted another kettlebell workout video on YouTube, I was eager to break it down. After all, his last kettlebell workout is one of the most well-received that I've detailed on Kettlebell Krusher. Imagine my surprise when I learned that it was, in fact, not Funk who produced this workout. Rather, another coach using Funk's channel to gain more exposure.

Jack Black Trains With Kettlebells for Getting Fit at 50

2020 is off to a great start as far as getting some big-time exposure of kettlebells from popular Hollywood actors and comedians. It was just last week when I wrote about Jimmy Fallon and John Cena's hilarious kettlebell super bowl commercial. Now, as part of his Jablinksi Games Youtube series, Jack Black is looking to get ripped by using kettlebells. Celebrity trainer Mark Wildman teaches him several exercises as well as discussing their benefits.

Jimmy Fallon and John Cena Put Kettlebells in the National Spotlight

Super Bowl LIV, featured some crazy commercials which shouldn't come as surprise. However, this is the first time I can recall that kettlebells have been giving such large exposure. I thought to myself, This is great!. Unfortunately, the end segment of this commercial has a comical yet unflattering finish. Give it a watch below and you'll see what I mean.

6-Pack Challenge – Week 4: Not a Success Nor a Failure

Technically, the 6-pack ab challenge isn't over until two days from now. However, being the weekend, those are my off days from exercising. I doubt very little will change physically until that point. So I'm calling it. Challenge over! The number 1 question everyone is likely wondering is if I did indeed build 6-pack abs. The short answer, no I did not. However, there's been a substantial increase in muscle mass in my core area and I've developed a 4-pack.

New Additions Added to the Kettlebell Books Page

Our kettlebell books page just got a major overhaul. In addition to the list of physical (paperback and hardcover) books that were there, 5 e-books have been added. They are written by Cavemantraining's Taco Fleur and provide a wealth of information. No other e-books really come close to the level and quality of presentation, tips, & advice of these.

6-Pack Challenge – Week 3: Sore, Tired, and Determined

January is proving to be the perfect opportunity to rebound from all of the holiday craziness. No special occasions or distractions to prevent me from exercising on a regular basis. Nor are there any excuses for eating delicious but unhealthy junk food and sweets. At the very least, I'm happy that the pounds I put on from Thanksgiving to New Year's have been erased. My stomach continues to shrink inward, but I'm doubtful that any major definition of the abs will be visible when this challenge is over.

Several Fitness Tools to Take Your Kettlebell Training to the Next Level

Here at Kettlebell Krusher, I usually only discuss products directly related to kettlebells or accessories used with them. However, as I've come to realize, many other kettlebell trainers and enthusiasts use other fitness tools as well. Some of them, like the macebell, are great for targeting specific areas of the body. Others, such as the plyometric jump box can even be used in conjunction with kettlebells!

6-Pack Challenge – Week 2: Replacing Fat with Muscle

Two weeks into this challenge with two more to go and I am feeling it! What I thought would be an easy addition to my warm-up routines before my kettlebell workouts has proved challenging. I'm talking about the increase of ab wheel exercises from 30 to 50. That extra twenty reps of stretching out take a greater toll than expected. Although, I certainly believe it's had a huge effect on my progress of building 6-pack abs.

6-Pack Challenge – Week 1: Adjusting to the Guidelines

It's been 1 week since starting this challenge and unfortunately, I don't have much to show for it. Realistically, it's not unusual to see little to no difference visually at this point. I have high expectations and it's been a tough week, but I have faith the results I'm looking for will come at the end. I suppose the important takeaway from this week is adjusting to the strict guidelines both physically and mentally.
