I know there is skepticism when claims are made for the best of anything. Especially when it involves a broad range of people. However, when it comes to online workouts, I believe I truly have found the best. Naturally, as a kettlebell enthusiast, these workouts focus on using this unique tool of course. So if you have a spare few moments I’ll explain my rationale as to why.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a man, woman, senior, or adolescent. Nor does it matter what physical condition your body is in currently. If you’re willing to make a commitment to change and improvement, you’re guaranteed to succeed. I’ve personally experienced some amazing results but have seen many others progress as well. So what makes the kettlebell such a special piece of equipment? It’s versatility!

Why Use a Kettlebell For Workouts?

In my kettlebell guide I detail the many benefits that training with kettlebells offers. Its round base with a handle attached creates an off-center of gravity when used. If you think about all of the items we use in our daily lives, how many also include a handle? Briefcases, pots and pans, and even carrying grocery bags are just some examples.

As we lift and maneuver these things multiple muscle groups become activated. How we function and operate in our everyday lives is similar to movements from kettlebell exercises. Several of which include full-body movements. Essentially, you get the range of motion commonly seen in yoga and pilates combined with weight lifting. It’s the best of both worlds really.

Kettlebell Size & Weight

Selecting a specific kettlebell weight may depend on several factors. Most importantly, you’ll need to consider your abilities as well as your fitness goals. The belief that one must use a heavy kettlebell to achieve results is ill-founded. Sure, if building strength is your primary concern then short amounts of reps coupled with a heavy weight will help. Although, longer workouts with a higher rep count and a lighter kettlebell will build strength and increase endurance too.

Most people searching for the best online workouts will want to stick to a medium and/or light kettlebell. This is all relative to your comfort level. For instance, I consider a 35 lb. kettlebell to be a medium weight for myself. That might be too heavy for a beginner and certainly too light for an experienced powerlifter. The point is to never lose track of your own goals. Strength building is just one aspect of kettlebell training. Others include cardio, flexibility, and mobility which are absolutely attainable with lighter kettlebells.

A simple search on Google for the phrase “Kettlebell Workouts” will yield hundreds of results. You’ll even find specific workouts that focus on certain parts of the body. They may include arms, legs, abs, and so forth. Given the time and effort, desired results are possible but are such workouts a great long-term solution? Chances are the variety of exercises is limited and broken into long repetitive sets. Frankly, you’ll probably become bored and quit pursuing your goal.

Now, what if such kettlebell workouts targeted multiple muscle groups in one session AND seamlessly transitioned from one exercise to another? That would make the workout more interesting and tolerable, right? If you want results, you’ll need to consistently stick to a workout routine. While working out may never become fun, keeping the mind engaged is just as important as the body. It’s much easier to strive for a goal when what’s required isn’t monotonous.

Furthermore, having the support and encouragement from others also helps to stay on track. That’s why performing the same workout in a group setting is so effective, even by yourself at home! While specific goals may differ, the common ground is everyone is looking to improve their quality of life. This brings me to…

The Caveman Inner Circle

As a member of this exclusive group for over a year and a half, I’ve seen it grow into something truly special. When I mentioned the best online workouts for anyone and everyone in the title, I meant it. There is no defining demographic. Membership is an even blend of men and women of varying ages and abilities. You’re unlikely to find a workout group quite like this one.

One of the reasons why the Caveman Inner Circle is so successful is due to several factors. The format of presenting the workouts does change from time to time. In fact, it’s improved in my opinion even from my review from last summer. Although, such changes aren’t dictated by the groups’ instructors but rather by the consensus of the majority of the members.

Most of what I wrote in that review still remains true. The main difference is the format has switched back from live workouts to recorded workouts. As fun as it was, it wasn’t easy choosing a time across multiple countries for people to allocate towards the live session. These live workouts were recorded and are still accessible, but this new and improved format just works so much better.

Multiple Videos Per Workout

Most of the kettlebell workout videos you find online are usually are in one file. There is the workout itself, and if you’re lucky you’ll have an accompanying warm-up and/or cooldown routine. Better workout videos may go into more detail about technique and explanation. However, the best online workout videos are broken into several files and cover all aspects of the workout.

Typically, the Cavemantraining team will include 9 or so videos PER workout. There’s usually a short introductory video along with follow-along videos of the workout, warm-up, and cool-down routines. You’ll also see tips for technique, and suggestions for alternative movements and progressions. That’s great for people who find such information useful and helpful. Although, experienced members can go straight to the workout and skip such videos without having to fast forward through one long file.

Perhaps my favorite related video for each workout is Common Mistakes. Often have I struggled to perform a certain kettlebell exercise and upon review, discovered one of these errors. Simple things like body alignment, grip, and positioning are overlooked even in the most popular alternative kettlebell workout resources. It’s a nice addition that ensures you’re doing the workout safely and correctly.

Huge Backlog of Videos

Currently, there are roughly 100 kettlebell workouts that members have access to. That list continues to grow as each week a new one is released. As the member base expands, I frequently see newcomers discuss their enjoyment of past workouts. These aren’t flavor-of-the-month or celebrity-style workouts either. There’s plenty of challenge and variety that gives a sense of great satisfaction after completion.

Since the group is run on Facebook, these workouts are available by clicking on a Guides tab. What’s nice about this is that you can view videos of members who have recorded themselves doing the workout. It’s one thing to watch instructors doing a workout but there is a feeling of camaraderie watching peers do them. I know I feel motivated watching others which also helps with accountability. No one is perfect, and sharing your own video tells others that you’re committed to improvement.

Professional Assesment and Feedback

Speaking of sharing videos leads me to another perk of this group. You have the option of getting feedback from the instructors on your form and technique. Honestly, if you solely want to focus on the movement you can just provide a video of performing a specific kettlebell exercise without the weight. There’s no judgment or egos and the advice is never given in a condescending manner.

I would know as I still have much to learn in kettlebell exercise technique. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs over the past couple of years and at times have lapsed in participation. Yet it’s this very group that has helped get me back on track. Despite the feeling that I should be further along in my execution of moves. It’s sort of like a family in that the members are compassionate and support one another.
