The rules are simple, record yourself performing the gorilla complex as demonstrated here. Then, upload the video to Instagram and tag a couple of friends. You’ll need to also use the hashtags #gorillagirevik and #gorillacomplex⁣ while also following @kettlebellkings, @kbkliving.fit, and @gorillagirevik. If you’re not already following them, these simple actions can be completed with a few clicks of your mouse.

Sam Escobar aka @gorillagirevik has made quite the impression on the kettlebell community with his feats of strength. I, in fact, have his Instagram account as one of the top 10 you should follow for kettlebell inspiration and motivation. His ability to grind out tough reps with monster kettlebells never ceases to amaze me. Now, through his hard work, his partnership with Kettlebell Kings allows others a chance to win some free stuff!

While there is no specific mention of what will be given away, I suspect that a few kettlebells will be awarded to the lucky winner(s). It’s a great opportunity to save some cash if you’re looking to move up to the next level in your kettlebell training. I’m actually at that point and win or lose, I’ll be transitioning from my 35 lb. kettlebell to a 44 lb. competition kettlebell.

My Entry of the Gorilla Complex

There’s really no comparison between Sam’s version of the gorilla complex and the one I did. The 35 lb. kettlebell you see me using is a fraction of Sam’s 150 lb. kettlebell. The problem I had was that it was too easy for me! Although I did use the heaviest kettlebell in my arsenal. It’s still great for my typical 20-minute workouts, however, my body has finally adjusted to that weight and needs an additional challenge.

Now that I’m in the final stretch of my weight loss journey, my focus is shifting towards strength building. I’m not trying to compete with the big boys by any means. Ideally, I’d like to work my way up to a 53 lb. kettlebell which would feel normal to me. After that, I’ll re-evaluate my goals and progress from there.

One last thing about the giveaway – The deadline to post is July 31st 5pm EST. That’s just a few days away! Even if you don’t win, at the very least you’ll be spreading awareness of kettlebells. For all the benefits that can be gained from using them, they’re still relatively unknown. So share with some friends and you might just help someone else begin their own fitness goal!

If you have the will and motivation, there is no reason you can't do the same.
